Ormeau is a fast-growing northern Gold Coast suburb built almost entirely from master-planned estates: Norfolk Village, Jacobs Ridge and Ormeau Ridge, with newer stages still being released across the rolling hills between Brisbane and the coast. That means most local housing dates from the 1990s through to today, overwhelmingly brick-veneer and rendered family homes on generous blocks, with only a handful of the earliest Norfolk Village houses now needing a proper look at how they were originally wired.

The suburb's real electrical story is switchboards. We assess the supply and switchboard first, then wire the charger on its own properly protected circuit so it never overloads the house. Add in the backyard pools common on the larger blocks, which need their own compliant, bonded circuits, and the picture is clear: whether you are near Pascoe Road, Eggersdorf Road or out toward Ormeau Ridge Road, and whether your power comes through Energex to an original estate board or a newer build, the fix is the same, work done properly, to standard, and left safe and sorted.
